Vegas Vacation

October 3, I headed out at about 10 a.m. with the final destination being Las Vegas, with my brother Will, my cousin Mel and our friend Geoff. The road actually seemed to go by pretty fast as we joked about numerous subjects over the drive.

One of the biggest jokes was the idea of a sequel to "Waterworld" which we called Landworld, which of course would give Kevin Costner another chance to beat a child in a movie.

Now this may sound bad, but it does seem to be true as in "A Perfect World," "Waterworld" and "3000 Miles to Graceland" he smacks kids with authority.

Anyways back to the story we reached the small town of Wickenburg about one o'clock and we stopped to eat at a little restaurant, Ike's Cook Shack. The place said it had a max capacity of 49 people, but I was curious as how they could have fit that many people in there.

It resembled a log cabin with camo table cloths and chef aprons. They had a big flat screen on the wall and it had Fox News on it, so you can guess who that town will vote for.

Red Hot Chili Peppers Concert

Welcome back, sorry it's been awhile, I've just been extremely busy and haven't had much free-time. This post will be obviously different from my previous posts as I will be talking about the recent concert I attended.


On Sept. 25 I traveled up to Phoenix with my nephew Dakota to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers play at the Jobing.Com Arena. The tour is for their I'm With You album which was released on Aug. 29, 2011, it is their 10th studio album.

I have excited for this concert for about a year. One reason is that they are my favorite band, another is I haven't seen them in concert since about '99 with their Californication tour. One more reason I was stoked for this concert was because it was supposed to take place originally March 2.
